"Cause every kid needs a swing

Hubby says every kid just needs a swing, so he decided to use his day off work yesterday to make the prince a swing... and work he did! He used an old tire, and some rope that we had laying around to make the swing...

I don't even have to tell you how much the prince enjoyed his new swing! I will let the pictures tell you....:)

He will now swing under the mango tree for hours...he absolutely loves it and mommy loves hearing his giggles    as daddy pushes him on the swing!

Mommy & prince both think hubby's the best daddy E.V.E.R....

 And, I am married to the most awesome and amazing man on earth, and who just happens to be a pretty wonderful daddy...just ask the prince :)

Thankful Tuesday 2/10

Today I am thankful for My Sweet FAMILY....


I am so thankful for my amazing husband and for the four wonderful years we've had together! I'm thankful that he's patient with me and takes me shopping even though he doesn't enjoy shopping much :)

I am thankful for our precious prince and for the joy he's brought to our lives! He brings so much laughter and smiles to our home! And...being a mommy is just the greatest gift ever.....

Thank-you, Lord for my family!

Happy Saturday!!!!

After weeks of extremely hot weather, we woke up to a beautiful day!!! I am so excited and just can't get over it! It rained...which is extremely rare for this time of the year and it's 62 degrees! BEAUTIFUL, just PERFECT!

I was reminded of this beautiful verse as I looked out the window this morning...

Hubby is home for the day, and we got to sleep in and have a family cuddle time and "king" of the bed game this morning! I love days like this! I think it's as close to heaven as it can get!

Thank-you Lord for your mercies!!! Than-you for the nice relief from the hot and dry weather! Thank-you for my amazing hubby and baby boy!!!

Families are just the best!! I am so thankful for my little family! There's nothing sweeter in the world than family! I am very grateful for mine...

Mother's Day

Hope all you mommies had a good Mother's Day! I had such a wonderful day! I am so thankful for the precious gift of being a mommy!

We went out for lunch at a Churrascaria. It was delicious and we had a wonderful time...

So thankful for my wonderful husband...I love you, babe!

My mommy and I....so thankful for her...She's an amazing woman and I am blessed to be her daughter!

AND...I am thankful for the little guy who made me a mommy one year ago! Couldn't have asked for something more precious! Thank-you Lord for letting me be his mommy!!!

Happy Birthday to my dad..

Happy 59th Birthday to my Dad!!!!

I am so thankful for my Dad. He's been such a godly example to me through all these years. I admire his courage to speak boldly about the Lord, his commitment to God and his family. I admire that he is firm and unwavering in his convictions. He's taught me so much and I am so blessed to have him for a dad!

I'm amazed at how he's such a wonderful grandpa to my son! I am so glad the prince has someone like my dad to look up to. He's such a special part of the prince's life...and I am ever so thankful for that!

Our family

I am sure if you could ask each member of our family about Dad...we'd all come to the same points. He loves God and is zealous about the things of the Lord, unwavering in his faith...and he's a man of prayer. Since I was very little I remember hearing my Dad pray for hours, oftentimes with tears, uplifting our lives to the Lord in prayer. I appreciate this so much! I know his prayers have kept our family strong through the years.

              So, happy birthday, dear dad! I love you and I am thankful to be your daughter....





(his birthday is really tomorrow, but I think we're going out to spend the day with him, so I thought I'd better post it today ;)

It's a happy life....

Is it just me or has life been crazy lately?!?! It's been ridiculously fast, for sure. The days just fly by...

I've been trying to catch up on life after our week of family camp and the birthday party Friday. I was able to get the laundry done and get our apartment cleaned, now I am trying to help my mother get her house in order, since we used it to make the party stuff. She's (my mother) has been suffering with stones in her bladder for the last 10 days, so she hasn't been feeling up to par. I hear it's quite painful, so I am helping her with her housework too.

I got sick 2 days after the party, the good thing is, it was after the party! I had a sick day where I laid in bed all day, reading books to my also sick little prince. It was a long day....needless to say, I am very happy to be feeling better.

The little prince is enjoying his share of new toys...He loves all of them. He keeps our house quite noisy with the battery operated toys...thanks.a.lot.people :)


He loves his toy motorcycle, although he only rides it backwards and sideways...I'm convinced my son is a crab...well I know for sure he's crabby...sometimes...not always ;)

So on to more exciting news....my husband called me yesterday morning to tell me he got a 25% raise in his salary! WOHOO!!!!!!!!!!! We're so excited to see God providing. I am so proud of my prince...he is such a hard working man and he deserves this! We're even more excited because this mean we will be able to get our house done sooner than we expected ;) Praise the Lord!!

We already bought the roofing this week, so we're planning on having it on pretty soon! I am getting so anxious and excited...can't wait to be in my new home...my own home!

Anyways, hubby decided to take us out to celebrate last night...we went to this really cute restaurant with the yummiest sandwiches ever...ummmm

We sat outside enjoying the wonderful breeze blowing around us...it was pretty much a perfect evening!

The meal was served in this beautiful wooden platter...I thought it looked so inviting and comfy...I felt right at home!

I am so thankful for the blessings the Lord has give us this year! We serve such a wonderful God!!!
